How I Made a Honkai Star Rail Departure Warp Simulator.
Hello, fellow Trailblazers! I'm sure you're all excited for the upcoming release of Honkai: Star Rail, the new HoYoverse Space Fantasy RPG that lets you explore the universe on board the Astral Express. I know I am! As a fan of the Honkai series and a programmer, I wanted to create something fun and useful for myself and other players. That's why I decided to make a Honkai Star Rail Departure Warp Simulator, a web app that simulates the departure warp system in the game. What is departure warp? Departure warp is a feature in Honkai: Star Rail that allows you to travel between different planets and star systems. You can choose your destination from a map of the galaxy, and then board the Astral Express for a warp jump. During the warp jump, you can interact with your companions, play mini-games, or just enjoy the view of the stars. However, departure warp also has an element of randomness and risk. Depending on your luck and choices, you may encounter various events and challenges along the way, such as Honkai attacks, space pirates, anomalies, or even parallel worlds. These events can affect your journey time, rewards, and outcomes. How does the simulator work? The simulator is a web app that I coded using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It uses a random number generator to simulate the departure warp system in Honkai: Star Rail. You can input your starting point and destination, and then click on the "Warp" button to start the simulation. The simulator will then display a series of messages that describe what happens during your warp jump. You may see messages like "You encountered a Honkai beast. Fight or flee?", "You found a mysterious crate floating in space. Open it or ignore it?", or "You entered a wormhole that leads to another dimension. Explore or return?". You can also click on the "Choice" button to make decisions that affect your journey. The simulator will also show you how many light-years you have traveled, how much time has passed, and what rewards you have obtained. The rewards include credits (the currency in Honkai: Star Rail), star rail passes (the premium currency in Honkai: Star Rail), stellaron shards (the material used to upgrade your stellaron), and characters (the companions you can recruit in Honkai: Star Rail). The simulator also features a gacha system that mimics the character recruitment system in Honkai: Star Rail. You can use your star rail passes to pull from a banner that contains various characters of different rarities. The banner has a 0.6% chance of getting a 5-star character, a 5.1% chance of getting a 4-star character, and a 100% chance of getting a 5-star character after 50 pulls. Why did I make this simulator? I made this simulator for several reasons. First of all, I wanted to practice my coding skills and learn more about web development. Second, I wanted to create something that would entertain myself and other fans of Honkai: Star Rail while we wait for the official launch of the game. Third, I wanted to share my passion and enthusiasm for this amazing game with others. I hope you enjoy using this simulator as much as I enjoyed making it. You can access it here: [link]. Please note that this simulator is not affiliated with or endorsed by HoYoverse or any of its subsidiaries. It is purely a fan-made project for entertainment purposes only. Please feel free to leave your feedback, suggestions, or questions in the comments section below. I would love to hear from you and improve this simulator based on your input. Thank you for reading this blog post and happy warping!
